Summary


The MS Elderly and Disabled (E&D) Waiver provides home and community-based services to Mississippi residents aged 21 and older who require nursing facility-level care. Administered by the Mississippi Division of Medicaid under authority 1915(c), this waiver aims to assist elderly individuals and people with disabilities. Eligible participants must qualify for Medicaid or meet specific income and medical criteria. Services include adult day health care, home-delivered meals, personal care, respite services, therapy services, medication management, and environmental safety services.

Eligibility Requirements


  1. Individuals age 21 years old and older.
  2. Would otherwise require the level of care provided in a nursing facility.
  3. Qualify for Medicaid as Supplemental Security Income (SSI) beneficiaries or meet the income and resource eligibility requirements for income level up to 300% of the SSI federal benefit rate and meet medical criteria of the program.
